@José Carlos

Yes, you are right. Digsby keeps the password of all your IM services in there database which is encrypted & cannot be accessed by anyone other then Digsby, unless Digsby has a very weak security system which I doubt

Nokia OVI keeps a copy of all your phonebook contacts as a backup which is visible only to you & know one else. This is the benefit of Cloud Computing

XnView is good but I like the interface & workflow of ACDSee better, just a personal choice

Excellent article! But I'd like to make a some remarks/questions...

First, you mention you're using Digsby. I tried it some time ago, but finally I decided to abandon it because (I think) they keep my IM & social services password. This is too bad for my security and privacy... or am I wrong about this?

The same thing about Nokia's OVI. All my phone contacts will go to their databases, which I don't like at all. For that matter I prefer to keep using PC Suite.

My third remark is about ACDSee. Great software but there's a free alternative: XnView, it's a great image viewing & retouching software, and it even shares ACDSee keyboard-shorcuts as well, so I think for the masses it should be a great (free) replacement.

That's all. Many thanks for sharing your experience with us!
